Kathy Stiliadis, M.A., C.Psych
Drawing from over 25 years of experience in hospital, clinics and schools, Kathy has amassed a wealth of clinical, practical, curriculum and school systems knowledge. Kathy has extensive experience in diagnostic assessments and evidence informed treatment planning of children and youth with various learning and developmental issues. She provides a comprehensive assessment which is the first step in resolving confusion about a child’s struggles. Parent and child can then move forward in their lives understanding what is wrong and what can be done to help. Kathy plays a key role in collaborating with parents, students and school staff to help carve out and navigate more successful academic paths. Students and parents find her relaxed approach engaging. Parents, students and teachers appreciate her comprehensive reports, her ability to demystify learning profiles and her individualized, practical suggestions. Recommendations typically include ideas for teaching approaches, remediation strategies, skills, content, compensatory strategies, accommodations, resiliency building and assistive technology.
Assessments are provided in a variety of areas:
- Learning disabilities
- Gifted identification
- Developmental disabilities
- Assessment for College/University purposes
Kathy also provides consultations to parents regarding school planning.
Fees for psychological services are not covered under OHIP but the services of registered psychologists may be covered by private insurance or extended health insurance plans.
